Villa Rustica was discovered in the 1970ties and is one of the most prominent Roman excavations
in the south of Germany. On the large site which is now a open-air museum, you can explore the reconstructed Villa and learn a lot about Roman rural life. Moreover there is a fantastic view of the
Zollernalbkreis up to the Hohenzollern Castle. Moreover, the biggest Roman Festival north
of the Alps is celebrated in the Villa Rustica every two years.
Distance to Schloss Haigerloch: about 10 km.
